These guys are great!! They showed up on time, did an amazing job, and left the place looking cleaner than it did when they arrived. We recently bought a house with pine walls that were gross, neglected, discolored, and stained with hand oils. There were areas that had crayon and marker on the walls, nail holes, and other damage. They cleaned, sanded, filled holes, and lacquered all the walls and ceilings. By the time they left it looked like a different house. Jerry has a reliable crew that's been with him for a long time. They're friendly, helpful, hard working, and most importantly they do an amazing job!! We had high expectations of Jerry's Painting and Decorative Finishes based on their reviews, but they exceeded those expectations by far. I'm so grateful we hired them. Worth their weight in gold. Professional, hard working, on time. I had a bad mudding job left in my house by someone else…3 rooms had walls and ceilings of patchy, blemished, uneven mudding which was painted over. It was a disaster. Jerry came with his crew and within 3 days they had the walls and ceilings looking like new. While they worked, they covered the floors and furniture, they cleaned up at the end of each day. The drywall dust was minimal because they take their time to do it right, and they use a HEPA filter vacuum while they are sanding. I HIGHLY recommend Jerry and his crew. You will not be disappointed.

I initially hired Jerry because he came in with a lower estimate than a couple of other places. He provided a lot of options and outlined the cost and benefits of each one. His work turned out to be extremely thorough and professional. He had to do a lot more than expected due to some problems in our walls and some areas where the trim was messed up. He did all of that extra stuff and didn't charge us anything additional. He was good about documenting everything as he went and sending photos so I could make sure everything was what we wanted. He was also good with vague requirements, where we didn't really know what we wanted, and just trusted him to make the room look nice.

Due to a power venter failure, soot permeated the entire interior of our home. After extensive cleaning by Servpro of Bangor/Ellsworth, all interior walls and ceilings needed to be painted. Upon the recommendation of Project Manager Jon Symonds, I contacted Jerry's Painting for an estimate. Jerry was very prompt and professional by showing up the following day. His estimate was reasonable and we hired him to do the job. He added us to his schedule and kept us informed when he could start the job. When he started, his crew of four spent the first day repairing every crack, hole and imperfection in the walls and ceilings. Eagle eye Jerry showed us prior mistakes that could be corrected. Thank goodness I did not kid myself that the job was something I might handle. Jerry and his experienced crew did a fantastic job on the front entry hall and open stairwell in our 1890s house. Before applying the skim coat and paint, they carefully patched all flaws in the original brown-coat plaster and caulked seams, corners, door trim, and baseboard moldings. Everything was meticulously done, including the complex spindles on the balustrade. We couldn't be more pleased with the final product. The crew arrived promptly at 7:30 AM and worked steadily throughout the day. They were polite and professional, and clearly took pride in working to Jerry's high standards. The work involved sanding a lot of plaster but produced very little dust, thanks to the advanced equipment that was used. Jerry was on site regularly. He gave the crew its instructions every morning, checked back to see how things were going, and took on certain more challenging tasks himself. If anything was not to his expectations, he would have it done over. For example, when primer wasn't adhering well to the original paint on the stair risers, he had the crew sand off the old paint down to the wood to create a better surface. Though obviously a busy guy, Jerry was quick to respond to emails and phone calls, and very good about communicating throughout the project. His rates might be higher than some but are fully justified by the quality of the work. We have recommended Jerry to others and would definitely call him again.

Jerry and co just finished painting the interior of our new (to us) 1940s home. The place was well loved and covered in vibrant colors, but we had the vision of crisp clean white throughout the whole interior. Jerry has been in this business for a long time, which was evident within moments of walking in our home. Throughout the quote building process and contract signing, he answered our questions, and upon signing was able to schedule dates. The crew went above and beyond in prepping our walls. The finished product appears we had new sheet rock installed - it’s that flawless. They use cutting edge equipment, which kept the house immaculate, and still made sure to vacuum and mop before leaving each night. Any time I saw the crew, Jerry took me around to show what was going on, and he communicated with me after hours if he had questions or suggestions. Now that they are finished, we look forward to enjoying this space for years to come. A complete transformation. We are already in the process of lining up Jerry to take on the exterior of our house next year. Hire these guys!!
